Apple users-malware

Most of you probably are already aware but just in case:

Some "anti-virus" is actually malware commonly called MacDefender, MacSecurity and MacProtector.

Go to Apple support for instructions on prevention and removal.

There is quite a bit of malicious code out there pretending to be anti-virus software and no system is completely immune.

The following are all good well known free tools for keeping the computer clean and free of malicious code as well as other nasty stuff.

CCleaner

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Revo Uninstaller

Avast! Antivirus

Zone Alarm Firewall

I had that maleware strike but my mackeeper anti virus caught it and destroyed it. Whoo Hoo!

And Apple just released a Security Update that is supposed to fix the Malware issue.
