I am new here to eccie, and still fairly new to the hobby, so as I'm trying to learn the 'ways of the world' I have found that I've hit a few snags. ONe of my main problems is being able to prove that I am "legit"... I am on p411, and I have a review up here on ECCIE, but I am still not sure how cautious I need to be when handing out this information. Here is where I have really hit a road block- and am hoping for some help/advice -
A few days ago I got an email from a gent responding to my bp ad. I'm not going to list his name, but let's just say it was very obviously NOT his real name (unless of course, he was named after a very famous author!!) We had some troubles finding a time that our schedules synched up due to me moving, traveling, him working, etc. FInally, he wrote last night saying he would have time (his last day in town I think?) on Friday afternoon - perfect! Me too! As far as verification, I asked for his information, and he was hesitant to give it out. I asked if he had provider references early on and he originally said no. Then, after we finally found a time our schedules worked, he said he'd seen one girl a few weeks ago and could find her number. I told him provider references would be fine, but i'd also need a real name and phone number. He just sent me an email saying that he felt something was off, and that I needed to prove to him that I was legit.
Now, this concerns me a bit - do I just drop it, and find my business elsewhere? Or do I stick around, and just try to understand that he is as worried about his safety as I am with mine? I'm willing to share my p411/review info in order to assure that I am who I say I am, but something seems a little off with this one (and maybe that's my cue to trust my gut?)
Sorry this got a little lengthy, but I really appreciate all the help!
