Where’s good hotel in nyc for me to host?

Where’s good hotel in nyc for me to host? Thinking of Manhattan or Brooklyn.

What part of the city do you prefer to stay in? It took me a while after touring here over a dozen times to figure out which hotels are the most ideal for entertaining, don't have nosy employees, cameras all over the place, key card entry, etc.
