The mother took the child to the USA without telling the father. She left their other kids in Honduras. She left for a better job, not because of political asylum.
isn't that abduction of a minor by a spouse in Honduras? just like it's child abandonment when these parents "dump" their children at America's doorstep? in America, both of those would be a felony.
Reading many of the revised stories, even Snopes says the photographer knew the child wasn't being taken away but he wanted to "capture a moment."
In other words, "Fake News." All these Dimomedia sites are working overtime to spin this as a "misinterpretation on our racist readers" part. It won't work.

look at Mexico. 70 plus years of socialist rule and government ownership/control of industries is the result of their low standard of income. their own oligarchs got rich, the people, not so much. this is proof yet again that socialism at every level ever tried is an abject failure.
how is it that Mexico, the 15th largest nation in the world, has a GDP of $2.406 trillion (2017 est.) vs. tiny South Korea the 110th largest nation with a GDP of $2.027 trillion (2017 est.) ?
that's less than 500 billion a year in GDP. how is that? it's obvious isn't it? Capitalism TRUMPS Socialism every time.
Mexico after WWII could easily have raised it's economic standard to rival the US had they used their far greater resources properly. yet tiny South Korea, with the disadvantage of the Korean Conflict which set back South Korea into the 1960's to recover, has nearly equaled the vastly larger Mexico.
does anyone on this board think for one minute that if Mexico was even remotely as prosperous as South Korea is, given their vast size and resource differential. than millions of Mexicans would be flooding our borders to make minimum wage at Micky D's or cut grass?
NOT.
to the average Mexican,
less than US minimum wage under the table is doing well for them.
Trump spoke about stopping wire transfers to foreign nations or at least taxing it. this was a loop hole by the Democrats intentionally left in the Banking reforms. know your customer, yeah? well if you apply that to anyone who walks up to the various wire transfer sites like Wallyworld and tax them on it, or better still, make them prove they are LEGALLY in the US, what do you think would happen?
a tax on foreign "nationals" sending money to Mexico and South America would be a nice start on paying for that wall, wouldn't it?
