I want to travel somewhere this week thinking STL :)Need to know where..

Hello gentlemen and ladies I am ready for a new adventure my new car is screaming road trip lol...My last visit to st.louis wasn't so grand..I am hoping this time it will be..I am curious where the best area to get a room also where the best hot spots are such as to eat at etc...I want to finally expierence what st.louis really has to offer..Hope to see a few of you on my trip..
Sugar I can't understand why you didn't do so well. Dayum you are hot!!!

I like downtown but it makes it hard for parking. The airport area might not be bad. Depending on how much you wanna spend.

If you are looking at seeing the sights and going to hot spots I would stay downtown. Parking can be a pain for your clients, but most hotels have parking for a couple bucks for an hournor two.
There are a lot ofncool bars and restaurants on Washington Ave downtown. There is the Lumiere place casino downtown. There is Laclede's landing, but that is kind of touristy, I think. Washington ave has cooler places,IMHO.
Of course the arch is always good to visit if you have never been. The zoo is also really cool.
The airport is ok to stay at, but you will have to drive someplace to have fun outside your room. I guess if you have a car, it is no big deal.
Stay away from Maryland heights. Not sure about Clayton. That used to be good, but I have heard rumors the hotels may not be as provider friendly as they once were.
Doc is right about Clayton and Maryland Heights. Yeah for the most fun downtown is the place to stay. Also it is not far from Soulard which has some great places to eat and party.
