Hey there. Can anyone tell me the names of some good restaurant's in midland/odessa? This is my first time in West Texas. Thanks everyone
Stay safe xoxo 😘
Cork and Pig
For mexican - La Bodega ; fast food mexican with no wait time but generic mexican - Rosas cafe
Saltgrass Steakhouse
Cheddars - again inoffensive, neutral, generic, not too great , not too bad, good number of seating areas
Pop N pitas - if you like greek food. Take out only . Not a place to sit and eat
AVOID - Chilis - horrendous customer service . And hasnt improved in 10 years - not sure how they are even in business
In Midland :
Wall st grill
Garlic press/Venezia
Mexican - Abuelos [ not bad actually ]
Thank u everyone for the responses! If anyone is down for a couple of drinks let me know! My first time here i dont know anyone

Mexican - There are a ton of small mom and pop type mexican places and most are pretty good at good prices. I avoid the franchise places.
Reyna's is great and moved this past year. They are now in the hotel at the se corner of midkiff and wall street - across midkiff from the exxon/denny's.
There is another good mexican place on Front just east of there - on the north side of the street.
La Bodega is a little more upscale from these two, but has been my favorite since I was a kid. Great nachos - more than you can eat.
Steak - HEB and Ethorn's - best steak combo in town.
Wall Street Bar and Grille has excellent chicken fried steak - hand made - no frozen patties - excellent peppered white gravy and get the salad for your side.
BBQ - KDs has gotten pretty expensive - we quit going there. Good food, but we can do as good at the house and cheaper. There is a decent place in the HEB on the loop and 191. Dickey's - just no.
- Odessa is having a big BBQ cook-off this weekend at the coliseum. $25 tickets - not sure if that is all you can and sample or what.
Best Bars for a drink - depends on if you want to smoke inside. I'm not a late nighter anymore - so you might need updates from younger folks here, but...
For inside smoking, Triple Threat Sports Bar is one of the only ones I know in town. And cheapest draft beers around - considerably cheaper during happy hour.
Non-Smoking - The Bar is an old classic by down town, Little Woodrows is a newer millennial type place on the nw loop, Murray's is a good sit down at tables with friends place and they have great sandwiches.
