ISO Hertz Car Rental God/Goddess

Happy Hump Day!
(not sure if this is in the right area, mods please move if necessary. BUT...)

I know this is a LONG shot...but I figure it couldn't hurt to ask. I've been renting vehicles by the week recently, first from Enterprise, now currently with Budget. Needless to say, the rates I've paid have been INSANE at best.

Due to my banking choice, I am eligible for GREAT discounted rates with a few rental companies. (Budget, Avis, & Hertz)
Currently, Hertz in particular has unbelievable promotions going on. (I'm talking like $100 less...PER WEEK) Unfortunately, you must secure your rental with a credit card. Debit cards linked to a bank a/c may be used with an additional deposit of $200 + estimated cost of rental. This is not a problem for me.
However, use of a debit card in lieu of credit card is subject to some kind of credit verification. Here is where I am in need of some assistance.

Any Hertz employees out there? One that may be in a position to overlook the credit verification? Anyone know if this would even be possible at all? I am currently insured with USAA, and meet all other qualifications. I am a safe driver, over age of 25, have valid TXDL, etc. Even willing to pre-pay entire amount of rental if that helps any.

As I head into my 5th week of renting, that $100/week savings would be sweet! Willing to compensate individual for their help, thru barter or good ol' $. Any info in regards to this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I use this site quite a bit in my travels, usually some really good deals can be found

http://www.carrentals.com/
Get yourself a secured credit card from a reputable bank like US Bank, Bank of America, Capital One, etc. You can deposit anywhere from $300 and up and the bank will give you a credit limit equal to your deposit. Additionally they will report to all three credit bureaus which will help in re-establishing your credit.

I travel a lot and use a couple of different sources for discounts. However I have found that National usually has the best rates and they have last minute deals every week on their website which can be redeemed at most major airports.

I hope this helps!

I don't like using the banks since you have keep $300 to $500 balance otherwise you get charge service fee each month. Better option is local federal credit union. You only need $5 to $20 to open an account. For a secured credit card, Tell them how much, and they tell you the amount of money you need for the deposit of credit card. You are incorrect, your deposit does not equal your credit limit. My first secured credit card has $350 limit, but I have deposit of $400. My second credit card has $500 with deposit of $600.

Thank you VERY MUCH everyone for your responses, all were informative and useful. Yep, talked to USAA people and they are gonna ''expedite'' shipping of my secured cc. Deposit = Credit Limit. Yay!
