First time staying some time in Wichita

Hi everyone, evenings are usually downtime for providers because most of you fellas are tucked in at home with the SO for the night. So even though I'll be there the evenings of Oct 17 and 18, my calendar is looking pretty quiet both nights...so far! (feel free to change that and be the guy who tucks me in, happy and satiated!)

But that's when it's time for a lady like to me to enjoy a local, hopefully organic meal. So I'm looking for recommendations please.

I love American fare--scallops or a thick (tube--hehe) steak are right up my alley. I love veggies so if you know a place that has a great side dish of Brussels sprouts, roasted beets or any kind of squash, please refer! I am not a fan of franchised food chains, and love to support small locally owned businesses.

Thanks all, and hope I get to meet a few of you on my trip there. I've truly enjoyed the gents who have made the trip to KC to visit me so I appreciate the invitation to visit your town!

Chesters Chop House near 13th and Webb road should be on your list of restaurants to visit . Also, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill has some menu items right up your alley
Wichita fish company for grilled scallops for reasonable price, comes in styrofoam boxes but tastes great.
Tuesday is steak night at Neighbors where stakes are decent with potato, salad and one veggie, reasonably priced.
My two budget friendly places with good food.

Hangar One Steakhouse is always good. So is Redrock Canyon Grill.
I've gotten some great suggestions and I appreciate your help. You guys are sweet as can be!

If you're ever in KC, and looking for those little "hidden gems" that are not your everyday dining experiences, shoot me a PM and I'll let you know some of the best places to go!
