Safety depends on the location. Lately the area around Bailey and Amherst has has a few shootings, at least one in the daytime.

If you're talking about University Heights, I recall a few years back when a young girl took one in the head while eating dinner as a bullet came through the front window of her house on Berkshire. No, she didn't live.

I do know the east side well, it is the neighborhood on Genesee by Camillia Meats. Almost the worst area of Buffalo, but I was just asking the question to anyone who may have seen her. Thanks everyone!I came very very close to living two blocks from there when I was born.....
