Rug store in our area?

Brooke Wilde's Avatar
I need a rug that is between 17 to 19 feet long and between 7 to 9 feet wide.

I’ve been to Ikea and Home depot so far and neither store had a rug that size.

Does anyone have a suggestion where I could find a rug that size for $1,000 or less?

Thanks ….

tried the dump on I45 and West road?
Brooke,

If you're familiar with Fondren between Westheimer and Westpark, there is a long stretch of stores with home furniture/decor/rugs. I cant think of the name of the store, but I've bought two rugs on Fondren and they were priced reasonably but really good quality. I think the guy that owns the store is Lebanese. He always hooks me up.

Ikea rugs are crappy

there is also one close to the galleria on post oak coming from 610 on the right just before westheimer...

I dont know the first thing about rugs or their prices lol...
Those stores near the Galleria that sell Persian/Oriental rugs are REALLY expensive!!! Under $1000-- maybe for a doormat

Depot cant cut to fit and bind the edges? Or another carpet store? You can get that done in NY..

Or maybe get 2 or 3 carpets to add a bit of drama?

Ashley's Furniture there? I think they custom size carpets..

I second the Dump was there on Saturday they had many to choose from.
I've never see a rug that size under $1,000 in a store. Try eBay.

try this one... you can mix and match them as they have a variety of colors and patterns.
one of my favorite sites to direct customers to at the furniture store when they were looking for something a bit different. If someone spills something or you get a stain on one tile, swap it out for another without any sweat.

PM me, I work with a Carpet store that can make a custom rug any size. They are not that expensive. You can pick out any carpet and make it a rug.

Brooke, there are several rug stores on Harwin between Hillcroft and Gessner. The rugs that are sold there vary in quality, but I promise you will find rugs in all sizes and design patterns. Hopefully you can match the decor you are looking for.
Oh, whatever they quote you on price, offer about 60% of that and negotiate from there.
I have recently purchased 2 rugs from one of the merchants there.
