I don't buy the notion that the women left because of any "treatment" issues. Maybe that was the case with a few, I don't know, but in the past, the women participated because there was money to be made in a forum like this.
The net worth of assets held in the U.S. peaked in 2008 at $65 trillion. We hit a bottom of $48 trillion and have gotten about half of the way back despite going into debt another $9 trillion if you include the Fed balance sheet. Bottom line is people have less money, and HDHs are the ultimate luxury good.
And the supply has exploded. When I was in Daytona for Bike Week this spring, the best looking women by far turned out to be working girls. A buddy of mine was at a Dallas Uptown bar last night, and he spent an hour talking to a very pretty woman. After an hour, she admitted to being a working girl as well, a massive blow to his ego. LOL.
The stigma of being a working girl is clearly gone.
Are there any HDHs left under the age of 30? Or at least are the ones not lying about their age? I haven't seen any. Truth is that today you can hire a 21 year old sexatary for a year for what you used to pay a HDH for a week.
I think one thing that a lot of the stock and business owning folks here have not gotten is for the 70% of the population who don't own stock, the recession never ended. There are many, many more hot single moms out there who are desperate to help out their kids. There is little work for "unskilled" people.
I mentioned the sugar daddy sites before but I also have to wonder how much social media has played a role in the exclusivity of the HDH type women. I know of women who hook up via Facebook, My Space, and Twitter. If women use these sites instead of this one, they don't get branded with the escort/prostitute label. That is not the case for most women posting here. People know or could know who they are.
IMO the HDH model is in decline and so are the number of women coming to this forum. That it morphed into another forum, a boring political one, was inevitable.
