Tis the season for busts

I was watching the news last night and saw that story. The sad thing is, too many of these young girls have other issues and young children. They turn to prostitution, not because it’s the best choice for them, but to take care of bad habits.
We all know the risks. Just figured I'd post this since nobody else did. Basically a heads up to people in the Greensburg area I guess. Take it for what it's worth.

Duplicate thread with “‘Tis the Season” maybe DJ should combine them.
Ah didn't read that one. My bad.

I haven't seen the other thread but this one says *bust* in the title and I believe more will read this one...

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!

Providers/Companions - prostitution is only a misdemeanor 3 in Pennsylvania. Arrests and prostitution convictions are not expungable in PA...so once arrested, the damage is already done. Please, please, please learn your rights.

"I do not consent to a search of my person or my belongings."
"I am exercising my right to remain silent."
"I want a lawyer."

Sex workers, if arrested exercise your rights and as soon as you can contact SWOP Behind Bars (they may have some resources they can hook you up with).

Please stop victimizing prostitutes bambino.

This mentality that we are all broken or somehow our lives are "sad" is...

A. Not reality
B. Harmful to sex workers
C. Spreads stigma

There are MANY people who have "other issues" and young kids; this is not synonymous to sex workers. And the wording of "other issues" kinda says that you think prostitution is an issue, it's not an issue...it is a career.

The "issue" is criminalization and stigma attached to prostitution.

Also, if you think prostitution is an issue...why you here, bro?

I’ve seen several young providers in Pgh that didn’t see their 30th birthday. I can name a few more that might not. That’s reality. If you think that’s cool, that’s on you.

I don’t think decriminalization will help much. Bad actors will still be doing business. I’m in favor of legalization. With that comes regulation. That would make things safer for everybody.

Which brings me to your last point. I’m here to give and receive intel. Which I do. Because I don’t want to see myself, or anyone else get into trouble. I know who’s safe. For now anyways.
Done properly this career is actually perfect for women who wants to earn well above minimum wage, control their own work hours allowing one to be able to handle daycare, sick children, school activities without constantly having to ask for time off.
They travel and experience life, grow nesteggs and move on to the next phase of life with no regrets.

Unfortunately, there are also far too many young people who only care about their other issues and get into this with a completely wrong mindset, the same mindset that eventually ruins them.

I think we've all seen both sides of the coin in this world and should reserve judgemental comments.

Alerts and warnings are one thing but blanket statements about ALL the WOMEN or ALL the MEN don't help anything.

That is a plain and simple fact
