You may have explained why those might be bad candidates, but you didn't explain why Trump or.more importantly, the country would be better off if he ran in 2020.

If Trump continues to self-destruct and alienate voters on a daily basis, Democrats could nominate Tweedle-Dee the wonder dummy and he/she could win.

what are they gonna say about the economy, trade and jobs? border security?

as it stands today any Democrat would lose to Trump. if the overall economy and other areas stay strong,, what would any Democrat have to challenge him on?

nothing.

let's discuss the Republican options shall we?

None. bahhaaa

who is gonna run against their party's sitting president? Who?

BAHAAA

no one.

Marco Rubio recently stated as much ..

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaig...neral-election

"Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R) predicted Wednesday that President Trump would likely run unopposed in the 2020 Republican Party primary before going on to win the general election."

Macro boy is right. not even firebrand Teddy Cruz (the slayer of Betotard!) will run against Trump. here's what that means for the Democrats ....

The RNC will put their full unfettered might behind Trump to retain the White House.

BET ON IT!

John Kaisch will rally for Trump in 2020.

BET ON IT!

You're right about one thing. He is doing everything he can to goose the economy. In 2020 we'll be running a trillion dollar budget deficit, and if Trump gets his way he'll control the Federal Reserve and will set interest rates far below inflation. This will provide a high level of stimulus to the economy. It's called the Venezuelization of the U.S. economy. Times will be good, for a while.

George H W Bush was the most qualified person to run for president in our lifetimes in 1992 but ran afoul of the Clinton slime machine.

You just don't get it. Trump's character, or lack thereof, cost him millions of votes in the recent election. Women especially, most of whom supported him in 2016, abandoned him in 2018. As long as the Democrats put up a candidate for POTUS without the baggage of Hillary Clinton, Trump will be in for a battle in 2020.

And Trump's approval ratings continue to slide downward. Gallup poll has him at 38%.
