Guys I haven't seen in years asking for references

Hi guys, in the past month, I have quite a few former clients using me as a reference. While I'm FLATTERED that you remember our encounter from YEARS ago, you have received your LAST REFERENCE FROM ME.

My reference policy is this:
  1. I will give a reference if I've seen you in the past 6 months, AND;
  2. You reach out to me as a heads up so I can expect a reference request from your future companion (so I know it is a legit companion asking me questions, and not your SO on a fishing expedition).

A final note: If your more recent companions won't give you a reference, then you did not choose wisely, did you? Don't depend upon me simply because I'm reference friendly. That's taking advantage of my generous spirit, and frankly, there's a thin line between my generous spirit and my "tired of guys like you who put a stank on the hobby" spirit. This post should tell you that I've gotten enough requests from former dudes that I've got their stench all over me at this point--enough already.

I don't think my policy is far off the mark from other companions' policies. So please be a gentleman when using me as a reference. If you are past the 6-month mark, and want to continue using me as a reference, I'd love nothing more than for you to renew our friendship.

Except you guys you have purposefully abused my reference policy. Not you.

Have to say you have been more than fair.
That seems a bit unfair. Not your policy specifically, and I agree you should ALWAYS coordinate with your reference prior. Just the general feeling that a reference has an expiration date.

I GENUINELY don't mean to be rude. But while I understand you can't remember everyone, the gentleman who take the time to write a review for you should maybe get ear marked and remembered.

Those reviews build your reputation, and encourage clients to see you, knowing you are safe and fun to be around. Those reviews don't expire. Those are their references, to others, about you.

Just my $0.02 on the matter.
That seems a bit unfair...Just the general feeling that a reference has an expiration date.--Expiration dates for references is pretty much a policy for most companions. Some companions don't give references at all, so there's that.

But while I understand you can't remember everyone...--Wrong, I remember everyone.

Those reviews build your reputation, and encourage clients to see you, knowing you are safe and fun to be around. Those reviews don't expire. Those are their references, to others, about you.--Agreed.

Just my $0.02 on the matter.--Thanks for your input! Originally Posted by redbeard087

Wow thank you for sharing. I don’t think I want to spend time with that attitude.

This thread is not going to transition into one with rude comments and calling out others for their opinions.

Seductrix, I highly recommend you amend your Bio Page to add the reference policy. If someone does take the time to read the information therein, they will be informed.

A great thing about P411 is that your OK's don't carry an expiration date.

For ECCIE guys, we're dependent upon references. Because anybody can create an account and start writing ERs. That doesn't make them legit.

How many "managers" have written ERs about their latest stable addition? More than you can count. That does not make him legit just because he's on ECCIE and posting ERs.

Good point, sir. Too bad P411 is no longer accepting new members. Gals love it!

For frequent flyers, I'm sure it doesn't present an issue. For vacationers, it might ruin the holidays.
