D&T Still Open

All; I've heard several rumors about D&T being raided and closed down. So I went to check for myself.

Today, I visited and they are open. I talked to Mamasan directly. She states they did close for holiday vacation only. They have not been raided nor have any license violations occurred. They only took a few days to close for the holidays.

Their phone number still works, and they should have a full staff there starting next week.

Agreed with Doc that you can't believe everything she said. If she had admitted that they had been (probably are still) a target of LE, she would've scared off all the potential customers. Also, they all love to make money and seldom take even a day off. Closing down a few days for the holidays is totally unheard of in this business (they have no life, where could they go?).

Considering the original source for the "Shutdown due to license violations" was from someone who was obviously displeased by a previous experience he had there, I would take it with a grain of salt.

Yuwser I was a long time customer. Many good experience.,,you can take it anyway you want. But things are changing there.

I apologize for my tone in the previous post. It's just these "information" gets passed around with no actual mention of detail or proof can start a vicious cycle that can negatively affect someone's livelihood. I've known Angela for a couple of years and know that she is a hardworking lady that can be temperamental that's not atypical of many small business owners. I like her and the fact that DT has been one of the most consistent option here in Austin just makes me a bit defensive.
