Great Places To Stay/Eat Near Me

SabrinaLynn's Avatar
Hey y'all..

I am driving in from Denver co next week and was wondering about good places to eat or stay! I have never been to your place of comfort so I'm in need ASAP! I have been told to ask about the BBQ but being I'm from Texas I'm not sure you guys can beat Texas BBQ, but I am more than willing to try and give it a taste!

until we meet feel free to check out my profile!

A fair number of gals like Plaza. But check into the local gals room and ask there for specifics.

As for bbq, Q39 or Jack Stack would both cause you to never touch that texas stuff ever again.
Agree with UCarp... Country Club Plaza area gives you, IMHO, a greater number of quality options for both lodging and food in a smal area... or short Uber trips to Q39.

Also agree with recommendation to check with ladies in KC Powder Room for specifics.

Safe travels!

If you stay in the Plaza area, then I also agree Q39 and Jack Stack are your go to bbq. If you like your desserts, then Andre's for lunch. It is at 5018 Main Street. Their main business is as a Swiss bakery and chocolatier. The dessert cart is best in town and is included with lunch.
So, I realize I'm not exactly answering the question asked, but I'm gonna throw this out anyways.

If you find yourself in Hays, KS (it's about 5 hours East of Denver or 4 hours West of KC on I-70) around lunch or dinner-time - you should check out Gella's Diner + Lb. Brewing Co. It is a legit good brew pub - in the middle of nowhere.

Beyond that...yeah, Plaza - good food, good location.

I also recommend Chez Elle, a fabulous French bistro in the Crossroads area, which has some wonderful places to eat (Webster House, Michael Smith, Extra Virgin, Rieger's).

Welcome to KC!

And for deserts on plaza:
Cupcake A La Mode 46th/Wornall
Panache Chocolatier on Nichols
Cheesecake Factory on 47th

Yes, Andres, just south of plaza.

And, just north in Westport, Insomnia Cookies, 505 Westport Rd.

And for some some reason my sugar levels are fine.

If we ever run into one another there, we need to come up with a secret handshake...or ass grab...or something.
