As long as the minimum wage is above equilibrium wages, jobs will be lost. If the minimum wage is below equilibrium, it has no effect on jobs. Therefore, at best, the minimum wage is ineffective, and at worst, it costs jobs. Particularly for youth entering the job market.

maybe we should just make the minimum wage 50 bucks an hour? that should cure all.
