The robber went to a massage parlor in the 1000 block of South Edmonds Lane, near Fox Avenue, on Thursday and booked an hourlong massage.
During the massage, police said, the man asked the employee to massage his genitals. She refused and offered to refund his payment.
After the man got dressed, he told the worker that he wanted all of her money and opened his shirt to reveal a pistol and handcuffs, police said. He said he was a police officer and that she would be arrested if she didn't obey him.
The man took $300 from the woman and fled.
