Thinking of visiting .. best days & places?

I'm thinking of making a trip back out to West Texas. It's been a few years since I have been out that way.

Recommendations would greatly be appreciated! Abilene? Midland/Odessa? Lubbock? Amarillo?

Better places to stay, best days and places to eat?
Come to Amarillo this weekend please.

For eating in Lubbock, I like Belly's Cafe off of 14th and Ave Q. They have Martini Happy Hour. Homemade Desserts. http://bellyslubbock.com/

Thai Pepper at 20th and Louisville Ave next to Covenant Medical Center.
Come to Amarillo
Wow-- lots of good cities. The only thing I don't like about Midland (aside from the dust, and few good restaurants to eat) are the high hotel prices. However, there, as well as all over West Texas-- the gentlemen are really nice! They are excellent!

If you want to chat, I've been to West Texas twice lately, but not El Paso (sorry guys-- will get there eventually.)

These oil crews of various types are taking up quite of bit the rooms, so there are not many rooms available. I had to stay in Texas small towns that I had only three to 5 hotels total.
