Betty Ford - A Class Act

CuteOldGuy's Avatar
At the age of 93, Betty Ford has finally taken her well deserved break from the causes she has championed, and the lives she has brought hope to and made better. Regardless what you thought of her husband, their love for each other was as obvious as Ronald and Nancy Reagan.

She endured much, and gave much. The world is a better place because Betty Ford was in it. Sleep well, my First Lady, and tell Gerry hello from a grateful nation.

RIP
Through her weaknesses, not only was she able to overcome and move forward in life, but others followed her.

RIP
A mother to us all.
I had the opportunity to hear Steve Ford (son of Gerald and Betty) speak last year, and meet him. A real gentleman, and some of the family stories he told about Gerald and Betty were both inspiring and hilarious.

RIP Mrs. Ford. I hope you and Gerald have many pleasant dinner table conversations in Heaven (the dinner table, Steve Ford said, was one of both Gerald's and Betty's favorite spots).
Now the idiots of wbc/phelps clan plan to protest her funeral...We so need to revoke their tax exempt status as well as all the other churches/wackadoodle religious nuts

Tax the churches! And pass laws to prohibit them being closer than 1000 feet from a post office, library, government building, residential neighborhood, school, playground, park, bar, tavern, adult business, or place of business.

Also, they should only be open Sunday from 6AM to noon, cannot serve wine or other alcohol, should be smaller than 2000 square feet, and must keep a 6 foot distance between clergy and churchgoers...especially between priests and altar boys.
