Good food / places to eat in New Orleans.

We seem to have some foodies here so what are the recommendations.

Best places to eat and best dishes at those places.

I know I will have to get some beignets from cafe du Monde of course. But what else.

Damn! I was going to say Beignets!

Also the real Muffuletta at Central Grocery.

Not the fake ones you get here at Jason's Deli that they stick in the microwave.

It's not supposed to be served warm.

They are less than $20 each.

The prices above reflect shipping.

Never had one shipped: $109 for 2 sandwiches shipped to me makes no sense.

I guess it will be the same price if you took a road trip and drove there and back on the same day?

Leave real early about 4 am and get there by 1 pm and then drive back and be back in DFW by midnight?

Or fly there and back on the same day on Southwest ($233 round trip with taxes and fees, purchased 22 days ahead) if you can get those Muffulleta past airport security.
