I'll be passing through Birmingham soon and figured I might as well stop and visit!
Just curious about the good areas to stay in.

459/280 Area near the Summitt is a good area. It is exit #19 off og 459. Avoid I65/ Homewood area. If you stay near the Summit mall, you will have good places to shop and eat during your down time.
