https://www.local10.com/news/parklan...erson-arrestedI'm not trying to defend this guy but....
He is a coward. I think the other police who arrived and didn't rush in were also cowards.
....
There is a charge in the military for those who fail to perform their duty. I think there is something similar for police. That should be added to his charges. I think that's
at least a misdemeanor which could get some jail time. Originally Posted by grean

It is easy to charge Peterson. However, I don't think that's the right thing to do. It sets a very bad precedent. He should have been fired and lost his pension instead of being allowed to retire. He shouldn't be used as a political punching bag only in the end to face no real consequences save his disgrace in society. He will be forever an outcast from society. In this order, pedophiles, rapists, then Scott Peterson are anathemas. The charges he faces, I'm not sure fit, as the linked article explains. Therefore he probably will be found not guilty in court. He'll then live out life with his retirement albeit in disgrace.
He should suffer some real consequence outside of his public disgrace. He has been overcharged to help politicians advance their name on ballots and because of that, he will likely walk scot free.

Lot of brave blowhards here. Originally Posted by TheDaliLama

Same thing with vietnam.
They still didn't get a pass, especially when their inability or rather unwillingness to fight caused others to die.
That deputy CHOSE to become a policeman. He had a duty. He failed to perform it. He undoubtedly had training in cover tactics and engaging threats from cover. He just let people die. Originally Posted by grean
