Restaurants near downtown dallas

Hey y'all.

I need restaurant suggestions near downtown Dallas (Oak Lawn and Market Center area to be specific) that are open after 10 PM during the week and not very expensive. Something casual, but not fast food type of places. I'm not from Dallas and have no idea what places are in the area.

Thanks,
J.

How 'bout a gourmet N.Y. style deli? Eatzi's on the corner of Oak Lawn and Lemmon. My all time FAVORITE place....except it closes at 10.

Try the "strip" (4 blks of gay bars) on Cedar Springs, between Oak Lawn and Wycliff. There's more than a few.....Cafe Brazil is open all night. It's the best one in Dallas as far as service, good , inexspensive food and the patio is excellent for people watching. Hunky's Burgers...can't remember what time it closes, but I know its not all night....Panda's is open all night.......asian food.....Ziti's Pizza...it's really good and not your "fast food" kinda pizza joint......

the "open after 10" is our problem....
Are you in a hotel near there? I'll be on for awhile..........

Anything near the Doubletree on Market Center? How far is Cafe Brazil?

Cafe Brazil is on Cedar Springs, a block off of Oak Lawn. I would guess it's about 2 miles from 35 and Market Center, but that's not 2 miles you want to walk at night. That would be my choice too btw. Good food, great coffee, all-night diner kind of feel but much cooler and nicer than Denny's.

I told him almost the exact same thing last night by pm....Great minds thinck alike, huh? I love that place......I lived on the street that dead-ends at Cafe Brazil for 11 years........Eatzi's is the best in that 'hood', IMO......

I agree, Eatzi's is the best. There are a ton of great, unique restaurants in that area, but it's finding something open after 10 during the week that's the trick.

Buzzbrews on Lemmon is good, but it's not for everybody. People I know either love it or hate it.

Jackster, just curious but why did you end up staying at Market Center and 35? Solely for the proximity to Jade? lol

As I said earlier, just don't go roaming around by foot down on Market Center that late at night.

But if it is an actual restaurant you are seeking, there is nothing except Dennys within a mile or two that is open after 10.

Buck's is next door to Jade - you will see it from the hotel, but it closes around 8 PM or so.

not sure what time it closes since its more of a lunch thing for me but since Cafe Brazil was mentioned more than once on Cedar Springs, try Thai Lotus next door if you like good Thai food. very small place but good food.

Snookie's on Oaklawn is open until 2:00 a.m. A basic burger joint that has food that's half a cut above most.

Primo's on McKinney. Late night Tex-Mex.

Lover's Eggroll (I think) is a takeout Chinesse place on Lemon at McKinney. Closes at 10:30, as I recall.

The Angry Dog Pub, Commerce St., a few blocks east of down town. Open to midnight most nights. Bar food. A bit better than average.

Coal Vines Pizza on Cedar Springs may be open until 10:30. Not sure.
Thanks for the suggestions everybody. I just wanted to know of a place to get a bite to eat late at night after visiting Jade. Sometimes, I work up an appetite after having a little Korean desert!
