Hey just my .02, I wouldn't look for a "good" lawyer. I would find out what court /judge he or she will be going to and find lawyer that deals with that court alot or DA ect... Good lawyers are overrated and everything boils down to networking who knows who. Whatever is recommended typically is the outcome. Research is key
I started typing a nice pm with names and numbers of multiple lawyers that are versatile in different studies of law untill I read your signature. . . . I guess sorry I'll keep my AA advice to myself
I was going to suggest a friend who regularly helps people for free or low cost...but he’s black, so I guess it would be your preference not to use him.
Seriously, call the Dallas Bar Association and ask for a referral. Or ask a friend you know in person. The advice about knowing what Court the case may be in (if it’s that type of case) is sound, too.
You may also be able to contact local law school legal clinics for help.
It continues to baffle me that people make requests like this without being more specific. Lawyers specialize in different areas. It's like saying "I need a doctor quick" without saying what kind. Do you need a knee replacement or a heart specialist? A dermatologist or a urologist? Who you want depends on what kind of problem you have.
