Did I say something not allowed? I had a post remembering ASPD days & retired providers and it’s gone..
I see it in your August 5, 2019 post. https://www.eccie.net/showthread.php...post1061676825 Is that the one you're inquiring about?

No. I posted this morning. Last I looked it had about 17 views, no replies, and now it’s gone. But thanks for reminding me that I had already asked a similar question .

Hopefully a mod will chime in. If it was something really bad you would have probably gotten an infraction.
Send a message to gman44. He can probably help.

I guess I could send a private message but this section it called “questions for staff” and I figured everyone could benefit from the answer since there was nothing in my post (that I know of) that was not within the guidelines. I didn’t get any kind of message stating my post was going to be removed or why. Just “poof!” -gone.

You posted an ISO and even gave the dollar amount. ISOs are no longer allowed. It was removed.

We don't have to inform you however you should have been given an infraction for it. There is a sticky stating "No ISO"

I had no idea that any of the providers mentioned has passed away- but even if I had, I don’t see a problem.
If the mods keep removing legitimate discussions/questions for no good reason, ECCIE will also pass away soon.

You've been here since 2017. The site guidelines have not changed. There was no offense taken. A legitimate question is legitimate but if it needs to be removed, it needs to be removed for the safety and security of the members.

Here is the link to the guidelines and also #28 which references guested and deceased members. I would not have arbitrarily removed your post because I felt like it. Let the guested stay anonymous and the dead rest in peace.

#28 - On occasion, we may lose a valuable member of our community as a result of an unexpected accident, natural causes, or other various circumstances. The grieving process when these situations arise is often difficult and ECCIE has established a procedure to follow in such cases to protect the memory and more importantly the anonymity of our deceased member. A brief announcement will be made to inform the membership and honor the deceased member's contributions here without revealing any circumstances that may jeopardize the privacy of any of the parties involved. It will be immediately locked, and no further discussion allowed.
