Need some input on KC

I drive for Uber/Lyft when I am not (well you all know). I was thinking about coming to KC to drive since it is in my home area.

Are there any areas of KC that I should flat out avoid? It will allow me to drive the entire city and surrounding areas.

I just don't want to get up there and find myself in a mess. I do have a wifi linked webcam, pepper spray gel, and a tazer. Not to mention my every move is tracked in two different apps.

As a blanket statement I would pass on North to south areas along 71 hwy from the Missouri river south to Bannister (Troost/Prospect/Cleveland)
However that includes some area that are ok, and does not mention other areas that should be avoided.
You may run into an issue with Uber/Lyft though if you turn down to many trips.
Best to use a highlighter on a map.

When the taxi cabs were running, they would not pick up anyone in a Kansas City Park. Just wouldn't do it. If you wanted a taxi, you had to walk a couple of blocks away from the city park.

Also avoid Independence Avenue from downtown to 435 highway.

p drove Uber for a little more than a year. I never had a problem but I'm male and only drove in the mornings 7am - ???pm. the best rides are from the airport and to the airport. I never went downtown, Westport or plaza to get riders although if was there I did pick up rides just never went there to get riders. I quit because I found I did not make very much money only about 20% of my take and I averaged 350 a week(mon - fri)

Parkville, Barry Road, and Platte City, are all near the airport. They are nicer areas and I have always felt safe. The airport is obviously a good place to get fares.

I am planning on coming back soon. Need some help working off the pooch I gained while I was off. LOL
