Lulu's is in downtown and one in mission,ks I believe. Pad Thai downtown as well. And sweet Siam Thai near the plaza. There's like another 10 more around the city I assume you're staying somewhere near downtown and/or plaza if you would like to know more just message me.
Thai orchid in mission is awesome
Thai place on 87th in OP.

For real Thai people and real Thai food, try Bangkok Pravilion at 97th and Medcalf in Overland Park, KS

Ethnic food is an adventure, as long as it is the real thing, and not an imitation.

The one thing about Thai food is the level of spice. I always request no spice, and have them bring the spice tray so I can add it myself.

A lot of the different Asian food can be very hot. I love all of them except Korean BBQ: I have never been able to have them leave the sauce off, or even cut back. I recently had Korean Crab in California: it was swimming in hot sauce, but I managed OK.

Just an aside comment:

When members of the Thai royal family visited the KC area several years ago they met with many in the Thai community at the Bangkok Praviion.

However, it is not the same place since the lost all of the great decorations to a fire several years ago. It took months to get the building redone. The food is still good, they just don't have the same decoration and scenery they once had.

Thank you again.

I will visit more of your suggested places when I arrive back in town on Wednesday.

Mali Thai Bistro in Lee's Summit is good.

I've eaten Thai in Thailand, never quite duplicated that experience here in the U.S. I should try some of the places mentioned.
Mali Bistro in LS is good, like was said, but the best Thai resteraunt in KC is near the airport. Tasty Thai on 79th and I-35.
