For Lockdown SOS and after.

Here we are entering unchartered territory..
I have a bit of a situation, our ( my son & myself) TV has broken..and me being oldschool tried to fix it.
Have had it for 5 years LOL.
Does anyone have a TV they can donate to a pretty cool teenager.
I am a 1 TV person, so , that was it.. let me know PM or text.

Also we are relocating I need help moving either in 2 weeks or 6. Undecided at this point, same town. I just can not afford the current price of movers. But I Do pay.
Would need 2 men. I can get Truck and Dolly.

Some of you are aware I moved my Plaza apartment.
Had been there 3.5 years. I'm a country girl so that's where I gravitated to.

Still tinkering with the TV.
Yes, I unplug it first..

Lockdown begins tonight.
Prayers for All.. My hope is that it brings our Communities, Families, And Country, closer..Stronger.
Something Good must come out of every Adversity. Let that be it.

Much Love,

If you have no physical damage to the screen, my guess is that it's bad caps on the power board preventing the power up. If that's the case, it's probably less than 10 dollars in individual parts. The problem is that depending on the model, it could take 30 minutes to 2 hours to replace all those caps. If it were a warranty repair, they would just swap the power board, which is slightly quicker. Still have to take it all apart, though. Not many people would bother with out-of-warranty board-level repair on it because once you got two hours of a tech's time into an ordinary TV, you are at least half of the way to the cost of a new one with all the updated features.

It's incredibly wasteful, but a sad fact of life these days that this stuff is essentially disposable.
How big of a tv does he need?
I’ve got an extra 37” Vizio sitting in my storage room. Upgraded it but didn’t wanna throw it away. The catch is that it is wall mount. So I don’t have a stand to give you with it.

Don't be insulted, but check the HDMI cable! Disconnect/Reconnect, push it in hard! On both ends!!!

Turn off the cable box, turn it back on after a few minutes.

Last resort, take TV to neighbor, hook it up! Go or No Go?

The simple, dumb shit stuff will bite you in the ass every time. Wanna ask how I know that?
