"I met all my wives in traffic jams / There's just something women like about a pickup man," he sang."

Loved his music.

John Prine, a National Treasure, is in a hospital in very critical condition with the virus at the age of 73...His wife is recovering from it a couple of weeks ago and they self-isolated within their home, staying in separate rooms from each other and he tested ‘Indeterminate’ over two weeks ago when his wife tested positive. They had traveled to Italy over a month ago before travel restrictions were implemented...John has survived two bouts with Cancer.

I am a huge fan of John Prine!...Both my parents are gone now, but I will always remember them playing all kinds of music in our home, but John Prine made the biggest impression on me.

If the devil danced in empty pockets he’ld have a ball in mine.... Fantastic artist, I like all music, to put it into perspective I have seen him and the three Tenors
This sucks. Joe had some great music. As mentioned above, some of the best lines ever.

I`m glad I got to see him a cpl years ago, several hit songs. Seemed like a real nice guy. Ships that don`t come in, 3rd Rock from the sun, and John Deere Green are my favorites.

And Kenny Rogers last week....bummer.

Not to be a dick about it but Joe Diffie isn't from the area and travels the world giving concerts. Unless he's a friend, relative, or acquaintance, I don't get how his death is "hitting closer to home" because Dallas was to be a one night concert stop 3 months from now.
100 additional cases were reported yesterday in Dallas, 2 additional people died and 3 more in Tarrant County.
THAT'S hitting closer to home.
No offense but celebrity deaths just never register to me as "more tragic" as us common folk.
It's like when millionaire pro athletes talk about their teams overcoming a lot of adversity to win a game or a title. Sorry.....
