Despite liberals, we know China should be punished...

...what do you think is appropriate? Military? Economic? Cultural? Or something else?
We could decapitate their command and control organization with cruise missiles but could we stop a meaningful response? Do we marginalize a trillion dollars of our debt to them?
Do we require companies to return manufacturing jobs to the US or face sanctions?
Do we revitalize our pharmaceutical companies and tell China to go fuck themselves?
Do we put pressure on Hollywood (and the NBA) to stop kowtowing to China? Do we make chicoms the go to villain for the next two decades?
All of the above?

despite Trump saying China has taken advantage of us before, and now this.. nothing will be done. Hell, we can't even get them to back away from the Spratley Islands, let alone anything difficult, like curbing cheap imports of drugs, toys, clothes, whatever. we made our bed with China, like Saudi Arabia.. they will fuck us over at times, but we are in too deep to start changing anytime soon.

You pressure them to shut down wet markets. And yes, we should have manufacturing and production capability and/or stockpiles for military equipment, oil, strategic metals, drugs, masks, ventilators, etc. here. Your other ideas don't make sense. Why would you want to start another cold war and give up the blessings of globalization? Why does China have to be our enemy instead of our partner?

the wet markets exist all over Asia, and have for many years.. many think this virus began in a Lab. it's impossible to just insist wet markets disappear.

free trade is like a drug. the drug being cheap products.

there are withdrawal symptoms associated with the increased tariffs in place.
