Latest casualty of the pandemic - The O... :-(

Looks like The O is closed for good...

I know they've been having a tough time for a while now, but looks like the pandemic was the last nail in the coffin, so to speak.

Someone will most likely buy it up if it was worth while.
Don't believe it was COVID-19 related.
The O was the one experience that outside of that part of Oakland becoming essentially safe most nights really hasn't changed for the 30 years, at least. Shame.

Where will the rats eat now? It wasn’t the cleanest place. It was good after a night at Zeldas.

Also perfect after the ten cent beer blast at CJ Barney's.

Pandemic didnt close that place. They just finally ran out of the same grease they had been using since it opened.
I remember reading an article about the 10 most dangerous street corners in the US back in the early 80's
That particular corner of Oakland ranked in at No.4

Good memories at the O. The talk of Zeldas and CJ Barneys takes me back....better times.
Assume there is no connection between this shop and the Btighton Hot Dog Shop. Think there are several locations now but I go back to the original in New Brighton. Raised in Beaver Falls and have great memories of there and Hank's in the early 60s/
I guess Mark Cuban wants to buy it and reopen
