Before anyone starts on SipSap, let's agree that the hobby has encountered a bit of a dry patch. To add credence to my point, I witnessed a lady who has accounts on Eccie and P411 also post numerous times on SipSap. The scarcity of providers seems especially true for Lincoln.
That being said, the number of scams on SipSap has increased but most notably, the aggressiveness of the scams has increased. Scammers will not only try to ply you into providing a Google Play Card as payment in advance, but they have started to request your home address. If you provide your home address and you use your "real" phone, scammers can procure your identity. I am confident that many will use that information to shake you down for additional funds. Now more than ever, I strongly recommend using a burner phone to protect your identity.
SipSap is the new Backpage. Same scams, new site
Using a burner phone in "the hobby" has always been a good idea.
I strongly recommend a dedicated smart phone - wifi only, no cellular - with a VoIP number like WhatsApp or Google Voice
BTW, Lincoln has always seen fewer providers. Less people, much less air travel. It looks like the Lincoln airport is largely regional. Omaha Eppley will see 8-9x more planes this afternoon and evening than Lincoln will see the entire day.
lol I post on sip sap to get my ad/face out there. lol but that site is pure trash.
and all I hear is are you real. asking if I HAVE references ect....
im clearly well reviewed. and guys are just plain silly to send a deposit or payment to a UNVERIFIED provider. I love deposits they ensure we are both on the same page and are real about meeting. I would never ask for FULL donation before hand. but im also not trying to scam ppl. guys think with your big head not your other one.
I heard numerous times this trip of guys getting scammed like this
also to add me personally I don't care if you have a burner phone. but if your JUST using a txt app I will not see you, I require to talk to you on the phone before meeting. also with references
Burner phones have always been a thing in this hobby. It gets pretty easy to spot the ones to skip. Instagram type photos of a super hot one is clue #1. Look at user names, you will see trends on the fakes.

A lot of the scammers are foreign too and haven't figured out the ole imperial weight system. They'll generally list say 60lbs instead of say 130lbs. (60kg = ~130lbs) so watched for weird weights.
I think March and April was dry for everyone with the Covid thing. But, I think it sprouted an entire new batch of women who are in need of help during the forced economic slowdown. SA and dating sites have been an absolute gold mine for me lately. Should be interesting to see what colleges do this fall. But I'm here to help all in need.
A hobby phone is the safest . One thing to mention about a hobby phone and upper end providers is you have to use your real identity to meet with these providers .
The idea behind a burner is to stay anonymous . Never tie your real identity to a burner your using on some of the known scamming sites .
Hell yes I am a little paranoid . Every hobbyist should be cautious .
UM why yes a burner phone is necessary, is that supposed to be news? Well there is the pay phone on the corner.
Yes, Blue this is news. Many people don't invest in burner phones. At one time, a burner phone would have required a separate physical device that could have its own issue if you were keeping it from a SO.
Anyway, I received a text message from the Jalisco cartel on my burner phone. I was informed that I had caused an issue with one of their staff. To correct that issue, I would need to pay the Jalisco cartel $2,900.
Since I received this on my burner phone, I had some fun. I asked for payment terms. I told this person that Russian gangsters had done the same thing but they offered me very attractive payment terms. I asked if I could 1 year same as cash.
As the person texted me saying that they were monitoring my family and me. The person indicated that they would kill a family member. I asked them who? I told them that there were some family members where it would be a good thing if they eliminated them. If I knew which family members they were tracking, I could make a better decision as to how impactful the family member's death would be.
And finally, I asked if they had access to the Jalisco hot sauce. I was hopeful that as part of the payment terms or part of the surveillance that they could help me acquire some good hot sauce.
Needless to say, the person stopped texting. But had I been lazy and used my regular phone, this person could most likely identify me and potentially blackmail people I know.
