Best internet browser for privacy

Ladies and Gents,

What is the best (safest and most secure) internet browser these days? I will be using it on an iPad and a laptop - I realize that the choices may not be the same. Anyway, I not only wanted a secure browser, but one that also does not access other apps on my device.

Thanks,
Charlie

The best way to get an answer to your question is to simply google it! Just type in “most secure browser”. You’ll get a more authoritative answer than you will get here.

For my part, I have been using FireFox for many years. I regularly run up to 100 tabs at a time w/minimal issues. Ie, Chrome don’t even come close. I use IE as a single use browser. I have used Chrome but it is and has always been a VERY high user of resources. It has choked my computer many times when I tried it. Deleted it 2 years ago, ain’t looked back!! IPad is a different story, FF and Chrome about equal. Safari is a piece of shit but pretty good for single use.

My 2 cents!

P.S. This string probably belongs in the Sandbox.

I agree Firefox is good. I use it. But all you are going to get here are opinions not based on security but based on what people use currently.
If you want to make sure your identity is protected, use hidemyass.com. You can post with a different IP address from many other places in the country so a post cannot be traced back to your real IP.
FYI, I've been using computers since Commodore 64 and 128 were just out on the shelves.

Most "security" issues in whatever browser and email can be solved through each of their settings. In most cases, default settings are not on your side. Only real hangup is the differing language used in each application, even though each function are identical.

It takes time to learn this shit. You can ask a single question and get a single answer, then move on to the next question hoping you don't forget the first question. Frustrating as hell, always feeling like a dumbass.

Here’s a real simple test to check your privacy.

Bring up google.com. Enter any search. After you get results scroll down to bottom of page. You should see YOUR zip code and town where you are at the time.

Ta Da, not so private.
