Gym Recommendation

To all my gym rats,
Can someone please point me to the best gym in the Omaha/Papallion area? I am willing to drive where ever I need to.
Don't need the body building types, just a good gym.
Thank you for your time!!

Oh and this is NOT a "hint" ad. Will be in town in July, but have plans already.

Lifetime fitness is a huge facility in west o.

We have a ton of anytime fitness locations, and planet fitness locations.

Blue moon fitness isn’t not half bad either.

Crunch fitness as well.

Not sure if all of them opened up though and what restrictions you may find when you go. Good luck and happy lifting!
What'cha looking for?

GroupX classes? As in: Yoga, Zumba, Les Mills (Body Pump), Mossa (Group Power), spin class, etc

Just machines and weights?
Genesis in Tara Plaza is a great gym. Papillion area
Thank you for the responses! I just love to lift and use machines. Not really into the classes. Thought about yoga to improve my flexibility, but just haven't made it that far yet. lol

Maybe you'll catch me in the gym next month! I don't try to hide myself when working out. So if I catch you staring, I will know! he he
I'd recommend a lake jog to avoid covid. Lots of small little lakes around with trails. Seems like a gym on every corner. Enjoy your stay.

I agree with Tickler, Standing Bear, Zorinsky and Cunningham are all beautiful places. I prefer Zorinsky.
My place. I have one of the nicest home gyms you could find!

Genesis and The Athletic Club (formerly Prairie Life) are good choices if you want the Group Exercise classes, but they are more expensive because if it.

Don't discount yoga - it's not just about stretching or flexibility, it counts as a weights class. You're just not adding any weight over whatever your body weighs. It's harder than it looks: try doing a down-dog while maintaining proper posture some time!
Pilates is where it’s at if you want flexibility

Genesis on Cass. 2nd floor is entirely Iron, Machines, & Cables. You can usually get a free ~15 day pass to try it out. Get swole!
Nikki!!! I hope you are doing well and enjoy your visit/gym search.

I go to planet fitness, and they're strict about cleaning the machines and social distancing, and members also clean the machines before and after use of each machines. I felt pretty safe there. I hope you find the gym you need!

I appreciated all the responses! I ended up going to the Genesis/Tara Plaza and the dude wouldn't honor my day pass because he was butt hurt over me not signing up for a membership. So I enjoyed the Genesis in Aksarben and Shadow Lakes. Not impressed by any of them, but hey when you need to get your workouts in, it will work. lol I also did 9rounds(Kickboxing) Now that was a damn good intense 30 min workout. I enjoyed my visit to NE and can't wait to get back for some KLNercise! lol lol
Oh and any gym that I went to they did check temperatures before you signed in and then they had the sanitizer bottles and napkins to wipe things down. I didn't have to wear a mask which was nice, but here in TX we have to wear face coverings/mask while working out. I understand the need to stay safe, but if you are sick or think you might be....keep your ass at home!! Just my 2cents! Have a good one NE! Until we see each other again!
