Pensacola...to beach or not to beach?

Is it too crowded during the week for locals to venture out to the beach? Is downtown more convenient?
Downtown is more convenient for Pensacola locals. You might get more traffic from fort Walton and Navarre out on the beach. Either way, hope you visit!
Thanks

If you have a car, go to Gulf Islands National Seashore. Just east of Pensacola Beach. Very few people but no places to eat.
Downtown is much more convenient. I agree with Duraman, com see the National Seashore. Navarre beach is very nice to visit too, not as crowded but not as convenient.
If you want to experience the beach and have your own space then you should try anywhere from perdido key to orange beach Alabama. There’s tons of public access points or just park at a hotel and walk out onto the beach. Honestly I think it’s a bit cleaner and prettier than Pensacola beach anyways and it’s only about 15 minutes further away than Pensacola beach
Thanks, looking more for convenience for the locals...can do the beach afterwards, lol
