Please Help, received threatening calls and text

Guys, I am freaked out. I new to the hobbying and I have received texts and calls from this creepy guy that sounds like he is in the cartel saying how I ruined his business and must pay him now or he will kill me and my family. He sent me pictures of guns and cut off heads. I am freaking out, he said it was for wasting his ladies time, and that he was going to kill me if I did not wire money to him. He was then asking for my name, which I gave him a fake one, but I am so freaked out I am worried it could be legit, if voice on the phone was terrifying. I don't know what to do if I should go the police or just like completely change my phone number and block his number. I looked up the number, said it was from California. Please any helpful advice would be great I really hope it is just a scam, but I don't know how to handle this.

Block them and ignore. There was a thread about this long ago. I got one when I was trolling off backpage once. Girl looked hot but made the mistake of just texting her. Got that shit in return. Block and Ignore

Or for 1/2 the cost
You can tell him it was me.

Or option 3
Ignore him and pray.

Call the police

If someone is threatening you via the phone, there is no way that he is stupid enough to do it from a traceable phone number. As I have said in the past, no one that is real about doing harm makes threats, they just do it.

I get that from time to time, but as soon as I say come on over, they do not act on it. But if they did, a bullet from one of my multiple weapons of choice would be in their head the minute they set foot on my property.

If you are that paranoid, just change your number.

Thanks guys, appreciate it ya, I just should have blocked the number immediately and not engaged, idk it seemed very real, but like also feel like the sense it was fake because idk the money they were asking for was not that much to kill someone over and was just all so random like both numbers were from California, the photos of the guns and heads looked real, but almost as if someone had like screen shotted them. Really freaked me out, reached out on the "our home" website too and people said they have had similar experiences .

Did you inquire why he wasn't keeping "his lady" happy since she let you have her digits?

No, it was like a random number, never dealt with the girl before me and my friends were on a golf trip in california and i think maybe we like sent a text on some sketchy website, said I wasted her time and ruined his business, and I would have to pay up or he would kill me, at that point went into panic mode.

Are you using your real world phone for this? If so, that's your first problem. Search this forum for threads on a hobby phone. Lots of good advice here. Do that before you make another hobby related call. And never give out any personal real world information.

This is an old ploy. You see it posted on here or OH2 every six months somebody’s getting shaken down. And it’s the exact same scenario you’ve been wasting their girls time and they send you pictures of guns and cut off heads and bullshit like that.

It’s basically the hobby’s version of the “I’m the prince of Berni and if you send me $10,000 I’ll send you back 1 million” scam they send out in the email world. Probably somebody hacked one of the ladies you’ve seen phone and just started sending out text to everybody in her call list. Think about it. Do yo really think some dudes going to travel all the way from California to Texas to kill you over a 300 session? The plane fare or gas in a car drive is more than that. Lol.

You should call his bluff and tell him to send you $5000 or are you going to take this information to the FBI. And have him charged with Terroristic threats, extortion, and attempted murder, and also investigate him for the obvious serial killings he’s already committed. Ha Hah Hah Hah
