Did no one else here partipate in the debate team in high school? Evidently, very few, and the same "rules" apply in arguing a case in law.
You make a claim, and that claim is challenged, then you are obligated to substantiate (defend) such claim with substantiated facts, statistics, etc. If you can't, you lose that issue by default.
Many here, (OEB, Winn(Lost) Dixie, as a couple(?) of examples, don't seem to understand that basic concept of debating.
Maybe they didn't debate in high school, maybe they didn't even go to high school, or maybe they are actual lawyers who skipped a few lectures.
In any case, time to call them out. They need to "put up" with lucid verifiable defenses of their "opinions" or "shut up".
There have been many responses requested of them in multiple threads with no response other than irrelevant (more concerningl, incomprehensible) babble. Past time for them to step up and quit wasting bandwidth.
Adults in the room should be able to analyze verifiable fact and perhaps change their opinion if given REAL REASON to do so. Otherwise, just a waste of bandwidth.
