Rolling blackouts

So Evergy announced 30 to 60 minute rolling blackouts over the next few days...due to high energy usage, particularly South of here. Over half of the wind turbines in TX are frozen and off line. So much for the green new deal...I prefer clean coal, cheap natural gas and cheap gas...I guess it will be back in four years...in the meantime stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer...

I find the pool we are in not very aptly named: the Southwest Power Pool. Look what it consists of: North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and a little bit of some corners of North Texas. A little bit of of Montana, a bit of Iowa, maybe a quarter of the west part of Missouri, and the northern part of Arkansas.

Not really anywhere that is "Southwestern" United States.

I remember the rolling blackouts from my college days. It was caused by ice and Jack Daniels. Lol.
At first I thought this was a thread about Keith Richards.

You all are a good source for laughs. My black out so far lasted about 20 min yesterday. The black outs in my 30s not so quick. I don't think anyway , can't remember think I was blacked out. Dallas I'm sending warm vibes to ya

Obama and Stupid Joe both invested in the wind energy field, and then got the funds to push it from the government side hoping to get rewarded.

Because of the incentives Texas has 40% of the produced electricity coming from wind: when the cold spell hit the windmills froze up and the amount of produced electricity went to 4%.

The green new deal is a joke, a stupid joke.

Anyone who has a basic understanding of electrical generating plants knows that there has to be a certain level of continuing operating electrical generation. Using the sun, or the wind, just doesn't get that done. I know 4th graders who understand this, why do the Democrats not comprehend that the green new deal is just a joke?
