Old Man winter

The phrase "Old Man winter" has been used a long time to describe a long, tough, cold winter. Old Man river is used in a similar fashion.

On behalf of old men, and in the age of political correctness, people need to stand up for old men. The government needs to do something. If it were not for old men....none of us would be here.

Took an Athenian princess as a bride, had two sons who ended up in the Argonauts tale as crew in the Argo.
Also a couple daughters, one of whom became the Goddess of Snow.
Boreas was quite instrumental in the Persian vs Athenian war. He unleashed a stormwinds causing perhaps as many as 400 Persian ships to sink during the first invasion attempt.

It's the stormwind tale that has survived in the public knowledge, while the rest of the story is only brought up by history of war professors.
