No charges for Ashli Babbitt’s killer

Some law enforcement officer shot and killed Ashli Babbitt at the Capital melee. His name was not released, no charges are going to be filed. She was unarmed and the cop gave her no warning. An Air Force vet. Imagine if Ashli was a person of color? It would be a far different story. No riots as of yet.

"As dramatic scenes unraveled in the Capitol on Wednesday (Jan 6th) a – with a horde plowing through security – the jarring live video showed a woman draped in a Trump flag who has been shot by a plainclothes officer as she allegedly purported to breach the storied chambers via the window. She was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition and later died from her wounds."

Someone involved in criminal activity got shot. Happens everyday.

Say her name, "Ashli Babbitt".

This tells me shooting right protestors, whether male or female, has no consequences.

Inappropriate analogy. When you say that you're surprised more shots weren't fired, why and by whom?

I'm surprised any shots were fired by Capitol police. They weren't threatened. It was your classic peaceful protest.

justice, which means an equal application of the law, depends on the dead's politics

npr plasters cops' faces and names involved in shootings all over their website

in this case you cant even find out the name

and the kid who took the best video of it ??, his door was broken down and he was arrested the other day along with his "electronic devices"

There could have been many, many people shot and killed on that day but for the restraint of the police present at the Capitol. Ms. Babbitt broke the law and unfortunately paid for it with her life.
a persons home is a much different situation and there is no comparison to a public building

a very weak post indeed

Babbitt broke the law and sufferred the unfortunate consequences.
you're being obtuse and obfuscating

a persons home has distinction in the law

are you purposely trying to miss the distinction when you think its "funny" a person can defend their home with force and then why one wonders about this shooting? as if her killing is comparable to defending your own home from a forced home invasion?
