I am looking to get a hotel for an afternoon. I would prefer to pay cash. Is that even an option these days. If so, I would appreciate any suggestions. PM if you like.

No a lot of places are not taking cash or pre paid cards. Even if you offer a cash deposit. But a few that do are 816, springhill suites in westport, AC hotel. But some will take a visa prepaid. I would just call ahead

Feel free to message me for suggestions. There’s a lot of hotels, even nicer ones that take cash
