Buying Sex in Texas Is Now a Felony

https://tylerpaper.com/news/texas/te...75f9326e8.html

The bill is HB 1540. It goes into effect September 1st 2021
I read it and all I saw was the owner/operator of a massage establishment commits an offense, if they knowingly allow the allege activity to continue to occur, after receiving written notice from LE that the alleged activity has occured in the massage establishment.
Thanks for sharing.

This bill is such horseshit.......

Man Ol’ Abbott got his priorities straight!

They better throw the book at any Texas politician that gets caught with a hooker

I’m most likely going to SERIOUSLY reduce how frequently I see providers. I may quit altogether. Waiting to see how things play out with law enforcement and prosecution.
Looks like my 2nd retirement is on the horizon. It's been fun boys, too much to lose.

1. If you go to the linked bill, you’ll see that the “misdemeanor” part is marked out and replaced with “state jail felony”.

2. In Texas there are 5 felony types. I’ll list them in ascending order according to severity.

———
1. State jail felony
2. 3rd degree
3. 2nd degree
4. 1st degree
5. Capital
It’s a low level felony with sentences 180 days to 2 years, and fines up to $10k.
I visited someone in the Bonham facility several years ago. It’s not like Huntsville, but definitely a prison. You won’t like it there, and life will never be the same.

These religious hypocrites can’t keep their hands off kids, but have no issue interfering in the lives of consenting adults.
BTW, this is not communists pushing this legislation, it’s right wing theocratic fascists. It’s only going to get worse. As someone noted above, it may be time to bail.
