I am curious to know where the good eats are? Everything from mom and pop old skoolie diners, burger places, sandwich shops, sushi what have you. I'm making my first venture down and need to know where to grind while I'm there.
Thank you

Paven Houston is like resturantville there is something for everyone. It might help if you say what area of town you'll be staying in. This thread may help a little.

For Sushi in Houston, there are a lot of those super fancy places that are pretty good. But, in my opinion, Nippons down off of Montrose and Richmond is the best. Its family owned, been around for well over 20 years......great great stuff. It's the only place I like to go.

Nikos Nikos is still open. In fact it's remodeled with a HUGE parking lot. They've had great food for a long time.

Pavan...

The Washington Corridor (i.e. Washington and Shepard area) has restaurants, bars, and dance clubs all within walking distance. More than a few choices to consider.
