I figure something on this Dallas 1910-1913 time period has been posted on eccie before, but it's especially interesting now.

Dallas still has a few red light districts, different tracks where there's plenty of whores ready to drain and take loads🥜💋💦💦💦👍💯

San Antonio use to have a handy booklet that was a guide to the Tenderloin District.
That's an interesting article. I see that eventually Christians united and killed off the Frogtown district I guess around the time the temperance movement took hold and prostitution started becoming illegal across the country for the first time in the early 1900s.

It's understandable why women obsess about vaginal purity. If you're some women stuck married off young to a guy as a virgin having to raise his kids and sew his clothes and fuck only him all the time or you will go to Hell it must have been really frustrating to see free living liberated women making money on their own.
Irving had one, too.

kansas city, mo had a red lught district on the north end of downtown.
while up there on a bizness trip, i saw a documentary produced by local PBS station about it. it was an "interview" w/ a "workung girl" from one of the brothels. very interesting w/ photos and newspaper article photos. all sorts frequented the brothels, esp businessmen, govt people, and common guys. no shooting, murders, other violent crime tolerated.
as with the dallas area, eventually, kc city govt (city or county) shut it down.

one of the best parts of the documentary / interview - it was video recorded in front of a small audience in a kc city public library !!

there used to be some prostitutes on Thomas St south of Hall by the Hendersons Fried Chicken.
there used to be LOTS of prostitutes on Cedar Springs between Oak Lawn & Douglas. so many that it became like "Lion Country Safari" with cars driving up & down the street gawking at them. so many that DPD setup drivers license/outstanding warrants checkpoints. it was like a zoo/amusement park.

those were the days ....

Wasn't the Frisco area, circa 1995, essentially a red light district? All of those mobile homes with escorts seemed to operate with impunity back then.
