I can't say too much about him. For one thing, I don't live in Pittsburgh. For another- too early to tell.



The only controversy so far is over the whole "cops tasered a guy & he died" incident.
Protesters demanding names of the cops before the investigation is even over? Wait for all the details to be investigated. Find out if the cops are guilty or not. This isn't CSI where crimes are solved in 24hours. If the cops are guilty, then by all means release the names.

But we don’t. Peduto is still the mayor. The new guy won’t start until next month. I’ll comments on him after I see his performance.

Sofie was during my childhood. For those commenting on the incoming Mayors performance, y'all know he is a current PA House Rep, right? You already have access to judge his proformance based on what he's been up to in Harrisburg.

I tore him apart in a blog post...he requested a meeting with my org...and we chatted for almost 2 hours. I respect that. He takes the time to listen to people. I'm not even his constituent and he listened and asked thoughtful questions on our presentation.

We will definitely see what he does come January.

On one hand, he's not Peduto. On the other, Gainey will never address the gentrification of this city, ON TOP of PA itself getting more expensive. I'm going to have to move to goddamn West Virginia soon enough.
