Question for Hobbyists and Providers

So, I just had a weird experience and I though it would be a good idea to get some opinions before jumping to any conclusions.

I made an appointment with a provider that I have seen before. She informed me that she had switched addresses recently and sent me the info. I went to the new place and found it to be far less discrete than her previous location. I basically had to wait out on a front porch that was out in broad day light. I texted and didn’t hear back from her. Knocked and got nothing. Rang the door bell still nothing.

At this point I noticed a police detail sitting down the street with the engine running. I bailed and as I walked down the opposite end of the street I noticed two other unmarked cars with middle aged guys just chilling in them. The whole set up had me freaking out a bit, but nothing came of it.

About fifteen minutes passed and I got a text saying she was running late and to try back in ten. I told her I would have to reschedule.

Am I just being paranoid? I am deliberately not naming names because I know this person and trust her for the most part. She is a regular on some of these forums and I wouldn’t want to hurt her business if I just spook easily. It seems unlikely that a sting would involve a marked police detail, but I also found it very hard waiting there with someone in a running car just staring directly at me.

Sounds like a perfect storm of events resulting in a self-sabotage cockblock.

I go into situations that I probably shouldn’t too often.
But I can guarantee you that if there was a police car sitting outside with an officer in it, and two other cars next to it with guys just sitting in them, there is no way my ass would go to the door. I would haul ass. Guaranteed.

TCB is as important as looks, attitude, and service to me. I usually don’t worry about the scene safety persay. Mainly because I never do incalls. That way I never have to play air traffic control being told where to park and where to randomly walk.

It likely had nothing to do with you. But safety is important so I can’t say a little paranoia isn’t beneficial. I once had a cop show up to an in all with a gal as I was getting head. He was checking about a car theft the night before down the street wondering if any neighbor saw anything. My initial thought when he announced his presence was dammit how am I gonna get outta this. Then when he left it was “get back on this dick”.

I stopped doing that waiting around stuff. If she can't at least communicate to you she needs more time before you get there, I would just look elsewhere, especially if you're sketched.

TBH, as unnerving as that may have been, even if the entire police force was sitting outside, I can't for the life of me see how they could do a damn thing for knocking on a door. You could be knocking for any of a thousand different reasons. Not to mention you could have the wrong address, etc. They'd have to have considerably more than that to prove intent of anything.

Whether it was a set up or not, who leaves someone waiting outside for that long ? That alone is unprofessional.

You can never be to safe tbh. It easy to just cancel, especially with them not responding.

However i want to touch in something else and that is provider ghosting. Its a shame because when it happens no one wants to posts names. And i get it, happened to me where a provider ive seen before and is fairly popular ghosted me and never responded back after giving me a date and time and making me wait. But if we name names all of a sudden WE are the bad guys. And its not like you can do it in mens lounge either because rats will rat you out and ull still be made out to look like a bad guy.

Im a reasonable guy. Atleast lie and make up a fucking excuse to why you can't see me. Any reason at all, you can say your damn house got hit by a alien invasion, idc. Just say SOMETHING so i don't waste my damn time waiting on ur text and getting blue balled.
