Well deserved, but not long enough
They definitely don't play old time hockey. The NHL clings to remnants of it. Changes aren't as stark as the NFL, but it's still not like it was even 10 years ago let alone 20 Originally Posted by HDGristleWell, if the Pens want to advance this year they’re going to get some guys who play “old time hockey”. I get it would be special for the Penguins to have someone beat up the likes of Wilson. Marchand is simply low life scum the smallest player on the Penguins could beat him up, we beat them last time that's the best in the end. When was the last year the Pens were in the finals? Just like the Steelers, they’re not physical enough. Period.
Marchand always hides from retribution. When Matt Cooke hit someone with a dirty play he faced the retribution and would fight whoever came after him, he took a beating more than once for his dirty plays.
Keep this in consideration, the Penguins won the last three of their Stanley Cups without an Enforcer!
The Filthy flyers haven't won a cup since 1975. The Capitals won one Stanley Cup, The last time they was in the final before 2018 was 1998. Would you prefer having Wilson on your team and one cup or the three in recent years.
The Penguins have done fine without an enforcer or so-called tuff guy. It was nice when we hard Rick Tocchett who would fight anyone anything and score 50 goals. We don' t now but the glass is still half full. Originally Posted by Chase7
