Texarkana drive to Little Rock then?

So On Mothers day I am having to drive to Little Rock for a few days then back down to Shreveport I want to make a stop but not sure of a city between there?
Maybe one that has a good park or Museum or historical area.


Maybe I should ask the Arkansas board.
But I find when people live in an area they do not visit fun spots or places visiting people might visit. I am looking at my map now I might have to go up a bit or over then back down ,,,hmmmmm
But any suggestions are welcome I am truly trying to see something I haven't seen yet
