The ArriveCan app is easy and it works like a charm. I went to Toronto last week to treat myself to an overnight hobby extravaganza and it was awesome. No border hassles either way.
Do it.
Looks like you just need to use the ArriveCAN app and proof of vaccination.
Though, when I want in December they only wanted my passport and test results. Didn't look at my vaccination card when I arrived. Because it was my first time they asked me questions and wanted my hotel info. Looks like things are easing up now
If you're coming to Canada fill in the ArriveCan app or website with your info. It will ask for vaccination status. I would strongly suggest you fill in the ArriveCan info the same as on your passport.
I know for Canadians the ArriveCan info is linked to your passport's number so the border will see them both when they scan your passport.
And I always have a hardcopy of the ArriveCan info just to be on the safe side.
I've crossed over a few times the past few weeks.
I downloaded the ArriveCAN app on my phone. I filled out all the info asked. I took a picture of my enhanced drivers license and my vaccination card. I uploaded them to the app.
When I was ready for my first trip I filled out the travel plan form in the app. It gives you a receipt when you're done.
At the border I gave the agent my license and vaccination card. I asked her if she needed to see my ArriveCAN receipt and she said "no, it comes up as soon as I scan your license".
She asked me my reason for visiting Canada, I said casino, she handed me back my license and vaccination card and said to have a good day.
It could not be any simpler.
